Simple Audio Amplifier

Introduction

           According to Wiki an Audio Amplifier is an electronic device that can increase the power of a audio signal. It does this by taking the energy from the power supply.

          I made a very simple audio amplifier. The components and the circuit diagram is shown below.

Components

1.  LM 386 IC
2. 10 k resistance
3. 220 micro F capacitor
4. 8 ohm 1 watt speaker 
5. 3.5 mm jack

Jack connections

          Connections of 3.5 mm jack are shown in fig. It contains  tip, ring and sleeve. Tip and ring for left and right channels and sleeve for ground.

                           

  

           If you want to make single channel amplifier then connect a wire to any channel and give it to the input of the amplifier. Then connect audio ground to ground of the amplifier. If you want stereo output then make two circuits for both channels .
